The information website available today
The public website provides descriptions, screenshots and videos. It does not offer customer sign-in, subscriptions, checkout or a support form. Its page code contains no advertising, analytics or third-party video scripts and does not set application cookies or use browser storage.
Cloudflare delivers and protects the website and its media. This involves processing connection and request information, such as IP addresses, requested URLs, browser information and request times. Hosting and security services may maintain their own records. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and attachments through our email service. We use those details to respond and keep relevant correspondence. Clicking an email link opens your chosen email application; the website does not submit a contact form. Please avoid sending passwords, full payment-card details or confidential customer/job information.
Use and disclosure
We use information to deliver and protect the website, answer requests, address problems and comply with applicable obligations. We share it with service providers as needed for those purposes, and when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights and safety. We do not use this information website for targeted advertising or sell visitor information.
Retention and privacy requests
We keep correspondence and related records for as long as needed to address the request, maintain relevant business records, resolve disputes and meet applicable obligations. Provider-held hosting and security records are subject to the provider’s settings and practices. We do not promise immediate or automatic deletion.
Email rich@thechillypig.com to ask about access, correction or deletion of information we hold. We may need to verify your identity. Some records may need to be retained for legal, security or dispute purposes. Rights and exceptions depend on applicable law. Clearing your own browser data does not delete records held by us or a provider.
Security and processing locations
We use reasonable safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee complete security. Service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Tin Badger is intended for adults, including HVAC technicians, adult students and apprentices, and adult DIY users. The planned paid service will initially be offered only to users age 18 or older residing in the United States.
Planned paid service — not available today
What would change when accounts launch
The following describes the planned paid service, which is not currently available on the public website. We will update this notice before opening customer accounts if the final service differs.
- Account access: Clerk is the planned sign-in provider. The prepared integration uses a user identifier, verified email address and authentication session.
- Subscription records: Stripe/Link would process payment and billing information. Our service would retain customer/subscription references, invoice-period and refund/dispute status to determine access. It would also receive billing events, which can contain customer and transaction details. We would not store full card numbers. Stripe/Link also processes information for its own payment, compliance and fraud purposes under its privacy policy.
- Hosting and support storage: Cloudflare Workers would run the service; D1 would hold account, access, support and operational records; private R2 storage would hold submitted support photos. These are prepared integrations, not an active public customer service.
- Service email: Resend is the planned provider for account/support messages, including recipient, message content and delivery status. This is separate from the existing contact email inbox. Stripe/Link handles its own transaction messages.
- Measurements: calculations run in your browser. The prepared code keeps inputs and navigation context in session storage/history and records an account’s first successful plan time without its measurements. A support draft can include dimensions and marks for your review before you submit it. Unsent text drafts are saved in local browser storage until sent or cleared; photos must be reattached. Submitted details and photos would be stored for support.
Account/session cookies and browser storage would support sign-in and those features. No advertising trackers or marketing email program is included in the prepared service. Canceling a subscription and requesting deletion are separate actions; deletion must not leave a subscription renewing unintentionally.
